Updates to our Safe Church and Privacy policies:

After reviews and consultations with our board and updating our policies, we would like you to be familiar with the updates of our policies. These updates serve to:

  • improve the quality of your and your child’s overall experience at EastRidge Church,
  • reflect processes and program changes that have been made in the last few years,
  • reflect the use of and technology upgrades to ensure the safety of your child while attending our programs, and
  • improve stewardship of supplies, resources and staff.

Please familiarize yourself with the changes. If you have any questions, please contact info@eastridge.ca.

1. No annual registration form needed

Parents are no longer required to complete an annual registration form for each child for attending any Children’s Ministry or Youth groups if they are still in the same ministry group as the previous year. By checking in via our Check-In app, children’s waivers are considered signed and agreed to for the ministry year.

Registration is still required for children entering a new Children’s Ministry or Youth group, ie. Children leaving the Nursery/Toddler group and entering into EastRidge Kids’ JK-Grade 5 group or children leaving the JK-Grade 5 group and entering into the Youth Groups (Grade 6-12).

2. Release of children

Children ages 0-7 (up to Grade 2) can only be released from their programs to parents/guardians using the ticket with a matching code generated by the Check-In app. As we have a fully digital check in system, we will no longer be taking paper attendance.

Children ages 8-10 (Grade 3-5) may be released from their programs to parents/guardians using the ticket with matching code generated by the Check-In app. Children can also be released on their own with parents’ written consent.

3. Photography/Videography

By attending and participating in EastRidge Church’s activities, programs and events, parent/guardian permission is considered given for photographs and videos to be taken. Parent/guardian’s written consent is still required if photographs or videos are to be posted on organizations, other churches, agencies or communities that EastRidge Church partners with for the delivery of a joint activity or event (ie. Overnight retreats at an event run by Stayner Camp but posted on Stayner’s website/social media platforms).
