Read: Micah 6:8
“O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Reflect:
Sometimes people wonder what God wants or what His will for their lives is. It is like they are looking for a road map or a set of steps to follow. But the key is just to have a relationship with Jesus. We go to him. We spend time with him. We sincerely listen to his Word as we walk in obedience to it.

As we do these things, God leads and guides us according to his will. The Holy Spirit within the believer creates appetites, attitudes and actions that glorify God. Suddenly we realize that the will of God is not a road map to be discovered but a relationship that God wants us to experience every day.

Picture a man walking on a path through the woods. At what point does that man ever wonder where the path lies? The only time the man will wonder where the path lies is when he is actually off the path. As long as the man walks on the path, he will never have to ask where the path is.

Likewise, if you are so much in contact with God, you will never need to ask Him to show you His will. For you are right where you should be. As Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Pray:
God, I acknowledge You as Lord over every area of my life this day. Help me to walk in Your perfect will in all that I do and everything that I say. Help me to trust that Your will for me is good and perfect, and if it is not easy for me then help me to know that You will give me the desire and strength to carry out anything You ask of me. Amen.
