Luke 2:8-15
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Verse 14 (NIV)

Reflect
God is with us – in answered promises, realized dreams, and refreshed hope. How could we help but sing?

During this Christmas season, we will explore the songs that were born from our joy that Christ has entered the world and rediscover their relevance in our life today. As you read these Carols devotionals over the next 25 days, allow God’s truth to be revealed to you just as it was revealed to all of mankind just over 2,000 years ago on that holy night in a little town called Bethlehem.

After you have read about the carols and rediscovered their relevance: Sing! Sing them loud and clear and enjoy them in the midst of the hecticness of the season, in the midst of a new normal with COVID-19 seemingly hiding around each corner. Emanuel – God with us – not just at Christmas time but always. He is the light and the hope of the nations and for us who believe. He is the hope that we possess today and until we die and then he will be ours forever more. Hallelujah!

Pray
Lord allow the cares and the concerns of the world to fade away for a time and allow me to see only you. Thank you for the wonder and beauty of Christmas. Let me sing loud and clear. Hallelujah, Amen.
