Psalm 121:7-8 (NIV)
The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Reflect
We live in a world that has video camera surveillance watching our movements more than ever before in history. Especially in the large cities of our world, the crowds are monitored 24/7. I know that it makes some people uncomfortable and cries of “Invasion of Privacy” ring out from human rights groups but it is our new reality.

I am told that every computer search you do is recorded somewhere and that advertisers use that information to target your computer with ads that coordinate with your searches hoping to draw you to their product. All of it seems a little scary and certainly intrusive.

Does that information make you feel uneasy? Does it bother you or not really? For me it seems not to be bothersome unless you were doing something you did not want others to know about.  But I guess that is a bit simplistic.

Here is what I do know: Someone is watching everything you are doing. Watching where you go, what you are planning, what you are thinking. Although that may be unsettling for some people, for the follower of Jesus it should be incredibly comforting. In the uncertainness of our present situation worldwide I have a Saviour that knows me, loves me, knows my coming and going, knows my thoughts and plans and He LOVES me.

God the Father holds you in the palm of his hand and no one, NO ONE can snatch you out of His hand. He is watching over you right now, at every moment, all the time. The God of grace, truth and love is watching over you and keeping you from harm, even from an unseen virus that plagues the world. The God who loves you does not slumber nor sleep. He is always looking to bless you.

What a wonderful comfort! While you are awake and when you are sleeping, when you are coming and when you are going, no matter where you are or what you are doing, the Lord is watching over you. The Maker of heaven and earth who has made you his child in Christ is there to help you every step of the way.

Pray
Father thank you for your unrelenting watch care and love for me. Make me a good example of your love and grace knowing that you forgive me and call me one of your own. Amen.
